With the texture fix the game looks pretty good.

So people know, this does not work with the US release... you get an error when you try and launch and the game crashes. I tested before and after using these files, the game ran fine without them.

Gonna edit it myself now, see if it works.

Wow, if this game were any more Bioshock it would be called Bioshock 3.

Doing the hex editing myself worked... game looks lovely, I must say. Slow-paced for the first, oh, hour now... very moody and filled with tension. Seriously... Bioshock. Performance is good, 60fps locked with 4xMSAA and 16xAF forced through nVidia control panel... mouse feels good, make sure to turn off aim-assist (!) in the menu.

One annoying "consolized" thing... the use key and reload key are the same one, no matter what. ARG. Using "R" to open doors and such is awkward.

How, exactly, is that "consolized"? 99.9999% of the console games I have played have 2 different buttons for reload and use... not "consoles" fault that they made this game lazily and decided to make terrible choices, then ship the game with a terrible bug where textures don't load in right.

Because consoles tend to map two functions to one button?

I thought that was obvious.

It's maxed except Depth of Field is off, as I dislike it. It has some lighting, texture and other basic stuff... nothing amazing. AA is not native, I forced it, same with AF.

Make sure to do the texture fix... WORLD of difference.

It really depends on the game. Some games do that and some not. But its not a bad thing At lest I dont need a ****ing arsenal of keys at my disposal and 11 freaking finger to opearte

I still dont get it why most ue3 games dont come with built in aa option?!
Every one who knows where nvcp is can do it himself and that proves aa does work... So why not just implement it right in game. After all those years of developers experience with ue3 someone would have it done properly... Unlike Gears of War where You had to enable dx10 and then there was aa feature ingame, but it was killing the framerate while aa from nvcp worked allright

Guess I have spent most of my console gaming experience playing the "wrong" games then, because this isn't common at all.

It's not common on console for one button to do different things depending on context? For a button to do one thing if you press it, another if you hold it? You're insane, Hunt. I do play console games you know.

Just a few examples off the top of my head:

Fallout 3 - Menu button also does flashlight if held.
Gears of War series - Taking cover and sprinting are on the same button.
Mass Effect - Same as gears of war.
GTA4 - A whole mess of stuff from the horn to headlights to sprinting versus running.
