The online play and video chat will still be free. PSN Plus is completely optional.

It's basically the premium magazine thingy Qore they had for the US, but with more, $50 a year is pretty good. You get free games, full trials, free themes, free DLC (not all).

With any luck MS will throw in a few goodies for Gold subscribers to counter.

I really hope so, $50/yr. for their ****ty no server multiplayer is pretty lame.

No like HULU is any good, but this just makes it worse on the ps3 http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2...ation-plus.ars

Note: this is status quo with the 360.

This is no different then what MS will does with Xbox Live. Hulu when it comes to the Xbox will be Gold Only, Much like Netflix is now.

Yeah, the Hulu+ thing is retarded anyway... paying 10 dollars a month and you still get ads? lulz.

But anyway... PS+ is out now, did any of you get it? I actually went ahead with it... a lot of good discounts, even when the free game for this month was Wipeout HD I still saw a lot of value in it for me personally. Got a bunch of free DLC for games I liked, but didn't want to spend money on DLC for. Seems like in the long run I will definitely get my 50 dollars worth.

I really hate that Europe is getting the better deal this month as far as free crap goes on PS+ lol. Little Big Planet to download for free I think .
