Anand is thorough. This also gives specs for the 4 phones mentioned in title. I thought iPhone 4 was 1Ghz? Anand claims 800mhz.

He is telling things I didn't even know, and I've had mine since June 7th.

The a4 is supposed to be 1GHz but from what the grapevine states, it is underclocked in the ip4.

Interesting read about the smoothness of the OS.

I did notice more jerkiness with it than on the Incredible, and now it makes sense.

The new update (the one lee63 got today) takes care of the jerkiness, improves battery life, and gives more range to wifi.

But mine isn't recognizing any updates.

It will...They push them in batches. Also, more than likely, you will be able to download it somewhere and push it to your phone if you want to do it sooner. That is how it's been on the Droid anyway...

Since Apple pushes updates through iTunes, users tend to get their updates faster. With Android, updates are done OTA, so doing it in reasonably sized batches keeps cellular networks from getting overloaded. When the 2.1 update for the Droid Eris came online, it took a few days for it to reach my phone.

I don't know about verizon but sprint typically provides update software on their website the day of release. I personally update via xda.

Not quite thorough enough IMO. You can actually tether without paying any kind of monthly fee. Just root your phone and use this:

Alpha, he is posting for the average user with the phone off the shelf.

Notice that the prices are also regular prices and not corporate discount prices and he also doesn't mention jailbreaking the iphone, which would allow it to do all kinds of things it is currently locked out of.

For a review, he does do a good job and delves nicely into many different facets of each phone.
