Default Re: Firefox 4.01 Beta

FF 3.6 hangs all the time for me. Now I get errors most of the time when flash is used. Might have to upgrade to flash 10.1, but I'm getting sick of FF and might give Chrome a go - that is unless this beta is nice to use and a bit faster.

Dev version of Chrome comes with flash 10.1 built in. ::

FF 4.01 is very fast though. Slower than Chrome though.

Alright, I don't think this has anything to do with the beta, because I went back to the 3.6.6 and I don't want to create a new thread over this ****.

IDK why, but all of a sudden Firefox shows the " | " thing when you type everywhere. You know, when you are typing and the | flashes on you.. yea, well when you click on everything it does that.

This is fixed... by hitting F7..

FML, this has been so annoying.

beta versions 5, 6, and 7 have sucked. if that's how they plan on moving forward i'm going to have seriously consider sticking with 3.66 for the foreseeable future.

Firefox 4 beta 8 is very fast and does not have too many bugs like those older betas... A good Firefox support site is mozillazine

you can get the latest nightly build here.

I'm running minefield 4.0b8 pre x64, this week is is pretty stable and you can close windows separately (least under win 7).

Note: This is the nightly complies of Firefox, it auto updates, and is very bleeding edge.
