Apple addressing iPhone 4 issues Friday?

It appears that Apple's silence on the iPhone 4 issues will come to an end later this week.

Apple is planning to hold a press conference at 10 a.m. in Cupertino, Calif., on Friday to discuss the iPhone 4, according to CNET blogger Jim Dalrymple on his personal blog, The Loop. No other details were provided.

It's likely that this is Apple's attempt to address the uproar over the iPhone's signal loss problems. It's been reported by some iPhone 4 customers since the day the phone was available that when the phone is gripped in a certain way, it can cause reception and bandwidth to drop.

Apple at first addressed the reports by telling users to hold the phone in a different way or to buy a rubber bumper case to prevent fingers from coming in contact with the phone's exterior antenna. Later, Apple said the problem lay in the way the phone displays signal bars and said a software update to fix the issues would be forthcoming.

The beta version of that update, iOS 4.1, was released to developers Wednesday.

how about instead of blaming **** on people and claiming everything stated is bs and then offerring free phone bumpers, you man the eff up and say "we screwed up" but they can't. it's steve jobs, the effing anti christ of our generation.

weirdest part of the whole thing, pay attention to the end. nobody's applauding. i'm pretty sure half the people in the crowd would physically harm him if they could.

Like I said before I don't have any of the problems that some are claiming they are having. My iPhone 4 is working sweet. And Jobs said that only .55% of the 3,000,000 iPhone 4's that where sold had complained about the antenna problem. They best part I get a free case. And I am not a sheep as some call people with Apple products.

yeah, and i should have put a note at the bottom of my rant. i have no issues with 98% of apple users. i do however have issues with the moronic 2% (this include various tech websites) that act like apple is god and I do have issues with the apple execs. As long as you can fully enjoy the phone you paid for, what more could you ask for?

i don't have an issue with the actual phone. i have an issue with apple's "top dogs" coming out and blaming everyone else, saying "you're holding it wrong", etc. as technology is, there are going to be issues not caught in QA.

my issue is that instead of apple coming out and saying, "we're sorry about the antennae, he's a bumper case to fix the problem", they come out and say, "it's your fault" and then essentially say, "we're apple, f*ck you, take your stupid bumper case, it won't do sh!t..."

oh and then the apple apologists bending over and saying "deeper please" is just hilarious.
