They were compareing a GTX 470 at it's default clock verus a very overclock GTX 460 ,The MSI GTX 470 will overclock very good too and when it is over clocked it will beat the overclock GTX 460 quite a bit.I bought two MSI GTX 470's because I found them on sale for $279.99 with a free game and free shipping.The GTX 470 will overclock very good.Both of mine will do 824/3900 in SLI .but I run them at 780/3800 in SLI in games so I don't have to run the fan at 100%.The fan is'nt that loud unless you run it at a 100%.At 70% I can not hear them over my case fans.IMO a GTX 470 at $299 is the best card for the bulk.

Good choice. I'm in the same boat.... if I can get what I want for my 9800 gtx and gtx 285 i should be out only $20 - $50
