Default Audio software

I'm thinking about getting this when it starts selling here in box retail pretty soon I guess. What does everybody think about it. Not too expensive really.

Despite concerns of cpu/ram usage while running (especially in games), it sounds interesting.

Its kinda hard to take someone elses point of view about this kind of stuff without hearing it yourself - that and I wouldn't bother without some kind of trial.

I'm pretty happy about the crystallizer feature on my X-Fi card, maybe this will take it to the next level?

You can try their demo here - http://www.srslabs.com/experience/Ho...rtainment.aspx

Honestly, it sounds too good to be true. I would still need to evaluate it myself, but it looks impressive.

Default Re: Audio software

I've tried it for a few hours and by few I mean like the whole day and I don't know. When it works, it's great, but sometimes in games, there are missing sounds and not just one. It doesn't even play some songs, dunno why.

Definitely needs some more work. Also in movies the sound seems like too close to you, so you have to turn the volume down, sometimes too much. There is also too much "noise", not always, but it gets annoying after a while. Probably needs some tweaking.

I'm starting to think, that my setup is maybe too good for this kind of software. I'm currently using Mission M73 as my front speakers.

Something tells me that this software will never be good for gaming. I'm betting they have a max voice count of 32 or something stupid like that - either that or some kind of conflict with audio post-processing with other proprietary technologies llike EAX, CMSS3D, etc.

I would say its best suited for watching video or listening to music.

Is there any kind of program profile feature, where you can disable processing when certain programs are running (I'm assuming no)?
