So how are people liking the storyline. I find it quite good. Feels almost like an RPG with upgrades and such.

I liked blizzard story telling, so it's similar to War3, which is kinda cool to even watch on youtube and its pretty cool when the story unfolds .

Starcraft 2 is a flop, there is only liek 1000 people who bought it. ::

When I logged on the first time it said there were over 3 mill playing at that time. ::

Maybe it's massaging your ego and only putting you up against the 100 worst players ever.

Passing the million mark made SC2 "the best-selling PC game of 2010 within its first 24 hours of availability," says Blizzard. Going on to sell over 1.5 million units total in the first 48 hours apparently broke "the record for fastest-selling strategy game of all time."

Hint: Use the phoenix's lift field against the xel-naga and then work on the rest. Ended up killing around 2000 before my base finally got over run.

Just finished the single player campaign

The leagues are split into 100-player divisions. Otherwise, imagine how long it would take to move from the bottom of Bronze to Silver or Gold. It placed me in Platinum and I've been losing every match to Protoss cheese that I don't know how to counter unfortunately, usually early proxy gateways. Only game I lost due to being outplayed was a TvT matchup where I scouted poorly and got rine/seiged to death before I realized what he was doing. I don't like playing in 1v1 platinum, I'm really not that good of a player.

Yeah I love the intermission scenes talking to the characters and picking upgrade paths. There is enough variety in choices to make the campaign very replayable (especially since I'm going for all the achievements). Story-wise some of the dialog is a little cheesy but high-quality writing is not something Blizzard has ever been famous for. I enjoyed the ending and am looking forward to the Zerg expansion.

The best way to scout an early proxy (which I wouldn't consider cheese btw - a four gate proxy push is a standard toss opening) is to see what's going on in his base. If you don't see a gateway and a pylon by the time your scout reaches his base, you know he's up to something sneaky. Either a cannon rush or an early proxy push.

it's absolutely nothing compared to the all-in mission. Try beating it on hard. It's a bitch.

Yep I failed scouting. Actually I saw his probe come into my base and figured it was just a proxy pylon, had my first rine out to get rid of it since I figured I'd screw myself sending workers to do it. Unfortunately I was greeted by two chrono-boosted gateways and a zealot. It was Desert Oasis too which I think would make it very difficult to get ahead of his gateway/pylon spamming.

I had just never seen that before. Next time I shall do better!
