Default Infinity: The Quest for Earth

I was going to post this in the precursors thread, but though it deserved a thread of its own

http://www.infinity-universe.com/Infinity/

They are trying to implement real time planet to space transitions like the old Elite game.

Very early in development i think, so looks a bit cheap lol

There has been a few games that have tried that but they all sucked. Play the Battlecruiser and Universal Combat series if you wana see someone try.

And honestly, This game resembles the games developed by 3000AD alot so I don't put much hope into it.

There's potential imo.

I know it's pre-alpha, but they could do a lot of cool things with the atmosphere entrance.

The game looks very good and it is good to remember that the resources for the project is very limited and the game aims for massive multiplayer arena.
There are millions of stars in the game and thus they cannot hand craft every scenario.

When this is accounted there is not a single game that is close, ouside the original Elite/Frontier.
