Question How to check if liveCD supports Nvidia?

The Xubutu 9.10-based BitDefender Rescue Disk live CD can only start my Acer Aspire L100 in 800x600 @ 60Hz, although this video card + monitor are capable of higher resolutions under Windows.

The motherboard includes "Chipset: NVIDIA nForce 430, Integrated NVIDIA® GeForce® 6150 graphics". The live CD boots directly in X.

How can I check that this liveCD actually supports Nvidia chipsets, if yes how to get it to work as expected, and if not, how to add it to the USB keydrive so that this change persists between reboots?

Thank you for any help.
