I wouldn't be surprised with an announcement later down the road, that this will be released as part of HL2 EP3 as was Portal.

That would be rediculously cool. I'd like to see Valve hire this team to work on HL3 or EP3 or both. And as they allowed Alien Swarm to be released for free they should do the same with Black Mesa- as I'm sure by now it's more done than not.

It could be downloaded for free as well as bundled with EP3/HL3. That would be *very* nice.

And with how well this team knows the HL story they could only compliment during the creation of EP3/HL3. It'd be a win-win all around.

Either way, it's gonna be a REALLY LONG TIME before we see any of the above mentioned. Both valve and the BM team take a REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY long and DELAYED time in making games. Just be like blizzard, and not have a release date, until they are 100% ready to release the game, then ANNOUNCE it. Don't announce it and then have 1.5 years worth of delays....so lame.

I really don't understand how a company can pay people to develop a game, then it gets turned around on them, when regular people like you and me mod that game in less then half the time. That game turns into a really cool newer game based of the old game, and those people seem to find AND SOLVE bugs that those same developers couldn't ever fix. It's like, why not make a base game engine, release it to the public, and then allow them to make their own games. That would be cooler and much faster then developing the game...lol

I heard they're doing a deal with Epic. Cliffy B is going to package Black Mesa with Gears of War 2 PC and Gears of War 3 on PC. It's going to cost $5.

Way to go cliffy!

Remember Dare to Dream? They were such cool, disturbing adventure games. What made him such a tool when it came to PCs?
