Default Geforce 8200 max resolution question

I have a M3N78-VM mobo with an integrated GF 8200 running with Debian Squeeze and the 256.44 driver.
My question is what resolution does it really support on VGA and DVI respectively?
Its description on the ASUS site:

Integrated NVIDIA GeForce® 8 Series GPU
Hybrid SLI™ Support (support Windows® Vista only.)
Supports HDMI™ Technology with max. resolution up to 1920 x 1200
Supports DVI with max. resolution up to 1600 × 1200
Supports D-Sub with max. resolution up to 1920 × 1440
Supports Microsoft® DirectX 10, OpenGL 2.0, Pixel Shader 4.0
Support PCIe 2.0 / 1.0 Architecture
Maximum shared memory of 256MB

This means that i should be able to run a DVI-attached monitor at 1600x1200.
But I connected a 1680x1050 22" Dell monitor on DVI and a 19" 1440x900 monitor on the VGA and i was able to run them with twinview (and separately) without problems at their native resolution.

So, what resolutions does the card REALLY support?
Or the effective size is measured in pixel amount and i can put any resolution that has less or equal pixel amount to 1600*1200 (1920000) ?
