I would assume an Assassin would jump like a ninja. As for not calling it Dragon Age, well that's a bit hard seeing as it continues the story, has returning characters and the same setting. Maybe you should just wait for Dragon Age: Origins 2

My only complaint is the change in the upgrade system, seems a lot weaker.

Completely different combat, meaning speed and the ADD AoE spam fest. The dialogue system is different. They took away the overhead tactical view. They gutted the skill system. They added anime style to the game with ridiculous fighting moves and oversized weapons. Etc, etc.

I don't see how anyone who played the first game could claim that it's not much different than the original.

That's why there was no problem accepting KotOR, it was introduced like that from the beginning. Same thing with The Witcher. The fights are more action oriented, but that's fine. It's the same in the book and there's more to it, than just mashing buttons. The fighting system just feels like it belongs to the universe, where it takes place.

But if you introduce Dragon Age like the Baldur's Gate successor and then in the sequel you have assassins jumping like ninjas and other stuff, it's stupid, it doesn't belong there and it breaks immersion for me.

If they wanted to make a game like that, fine, do it, but don't call it Dragon Age...
excactly, they received praise for creating a game that was spiritual succesor to Baldurs Gate, and then they turn around and release this POS.

Seems like Bioware doesn't want to do true RPGs anymore, they are more interested in action games with minor RPG elements and story

Have you seen the praise they've received from this? Especially from the PC community?

So we are worried about realism in a game with Dragons and Elves? Ok...

Just a FYI. PC version is a crap port.

Dl'ed and played the PS3 version and it is obviously designed as a console game cause PS3 demo was fun and slick in every aspect. I totally enjoyed the game on console, PC disliked many things.

Console $$$$ ftw.

not worried about realism, in that case worried more about physics, its just silly.

This is something I expect in a crappy JRPG game.

AFAIK, Nightmare mode will have friendly fire so no mindless AOE spam there.

But thats gay. I want the added challenge of FF but not stupid hard enemies at the same time. You know, like the first game.

Wow talk about overreacting. The demo was fun and the game will be very good I'm sure.

Care to elaborate? I played both as well and noticed no difference, other than the better visual quality on my PC (and the controls of course, which made no difference to me).

LOL, wut?

Honestly my only concern for the game is the writing. The dialogue was pretty awful in the demo. Seemed more like a fanfic or something.

Because it plays like fighting game. Lots of button whacking. Lots of pretty effects and badass animations to oh and ah over. Action and dramatic videos are the main staple of the game. Menus work simple, simple to identify icons and uncomplex controls. It just caters to console type functionality and play.
