VDPAU initialise delay on GTX 470
I just replaced a GTX 260 in my desktop with a GTX 470.
It almost works perfectly with the 256.44 driver on Ubuntu 10.04 amd64. However, when starting mplayer with VDPAU video output and VDPAU H.264 decoding there is usually (but not always) a 5 second delay during which X is frozen. After the delay, X unfreezes and the video goes on to play fine. This happens regardless of the initial Powermizer state. Any ideas? |
