Everytime at boot, Win7 is config updates why?

This is recent to a few weeks. I thought it was ok, but is it really to be updating everyday? Everytime I startup its configuring updates. Is this normal?

it was patch tuesday this week, some 16+ updates were released. did you keep your 7 up to date till recently? or is it catching up to old updates?

Yes, I have automatic updates so unless there is a patch everyday I think something is wrong. It just hangs on confuguring updates at startup for about 5 min. thanks for any help.

could you go into update history and see if anything failed to update?

maybe its trying to apply the same update over and over and it fails.
