I'm getting advert popups from nvnews forums. Occassionly when I click back to exit a thread, the popup will appear. I have just done an adaware scan, and deleted everything, and they're still happening, direct from IE. Seems to these forums.
Any idea whats going on? I can show you the report from ad-watch if ya want. |

We've been wondering the same thing.
I've tried to find anything in the HTML, but so far I've been unsuccessful. Post the Ad-Watch report (or PM it or whatever). |

I had no idea what you guys were talking about...my link to nVnews now just takes me straight to the newest posts since me last visit so I don't even see the main forum page anymore! (Sign you visit a website way too much #3... ) EDITED BITS: It happened when I posted this, but me lightning quick and instinctive "kill the bloody pop-up" reflexes got rid of it before it could load enough for me to see what it was. ![]()

I haven't figured out why these pop-up ads are appearing. If you bring up the Privacy Report from the View menu option in IE, you'll find that we link to two other web sites. One is for the counter and the other is for the number of visitors online.
