I've got a Sager 8100 laptop with Dual GTX 258 in SLI mode running CentOS 5.5. I'm trying to run with video going to both the laptop lcd and external lcd. Whenever I try to run with an external lcd all the video goes to the external and nothing shows on the laptop. The nvidia-settings tool doesn't even recognize that the laptop lcd exists. If I disconnect the external and reboot the machine the video goes back to the laptop lcd just fine. I've updated to the latest driver and have duplicated the xorg.conf (with necessary modifications) of an older sager with a different video card that works. The dual head also works fine in Windows.
Does anyone know if there is a way to make this work? |

From the Readme of driver version 256.44:
"If X is configured to use multiple screens and screen 0 has SLI or Multi-GPU enabled, the other screens configured to use the nvidia driver will be disabled. Note that if SLI or Multi-GPU is enabled, the GPUs used by that configuration will be unavailable for single GPU rendering." http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree8...EADME/sli.html ==> Only 1 display can be used when SLI is enabled. |

Is there a programming effort to enable dual screens for sli enabled machines?
