Adjustable tension sounds like a winner to me. Having more control over the analogue stick would be well appreciated. If it were a little harder to move around you can make finer adjustments.

Yea. I have found these to be a good way to make it easier to make the finer adjustments:

I use those on my 360 controller. They help out a lot in FPS games where it can be difficult to make those small adjustments toward the head.
