Started playing this morning. Lots of motion blur sometimes it's ok sometimes it's odd... like flying in the choppers to the first mission, the chopper next to us was all motion blurred up for some unexplainable reason.
other than that, it's typical slow paced but always blowing something up Halo style game play. Graphics are a little better than the previous halos, textures are pretty good for a console game (better than a lot of PC ported games) I actually just started halo 3 yesterday and haven't even touched ODST... I need to get with it. I really liked the first one played co-op with my college roommate. never got into MP though.

I got that too, thought it was my new tv doing motion compensation or something.

I hooked up 2 other HDTV's to the xbox and they both do the same thing. A friend down the street from me has it on his new slim xbox (the reach bundle system) and it does the same.

FastRedPonyCar if you want to turn the Halo into an amazing experience, read the books. They are really, really good actually. Just buy the first 3 on amazon for 16$, so worth it.
Just played through ODST, loved it. Now playing Reach and unfortauntely it feels a bit more sluggish / input laggish in the controls, it's like it's harder to aim and hit stuff. Weird.. and the framerate fluctuates way more than I wouldn't liked. I would've greatly preferred less ambitious graphics and more stable FPS. Still a fine game.. looking foward to MP also, hope these things, especially the slightly input laggy controls, are better better there.

Turns out the first level did run a bit worse than the rest of the game, plus I forgot to switch to Game Mode on the TV for once. My bad hehe
![]() Awesome game...

yeah you will REALLY appreciate those ambitious graphics later on in the game. They get flat out jaw dropping in some parts.

I'm a big fan of the entire series, REACH is awesome. The reason it is so popular is the online and forge capabilities. The story is epic, the game play might lack compared to other games, but as a whole I'm impressed. I have only played the first 3 chapters, I've been really busy and tired, but come next month I'll be fully invested.
