I think we have 10 threads for IE9 Beta right now.

Does this install overtake your IE8 install? I'd like to try this out on my work machine but keep IE8 just in case it doesn't work right.

installed it yesterday on one of my machines, installation went smooth.

they really went a bit overboard with condensing everything. I need more time to play with it.

Other wise I must say I like it more then Chrome, I had Chrome for short while, but it could never find and use my favorites, after I told it not to sync them to some google online service.

Just installed it. Is there any ad-block apps that actually work with IE9?

Found this to be interesting...

So far I see the more retro looking icon on the start bar and one thing that still annoys me. It's 2010 and MS still can't make an OS that doesn't require a reboot to install something. Going in reverse as I had to reboot the PC just to install IE.

After using IE9 all morning, it's finally showed it's true speed. Of course we all know that a browser will be fast for the first hour or so, but after that, IE9 has come to a crawl. I miss ad blocking really bad (ads suck).

Go to Thurot's site and download his InPrivateFiltering list.

It's not perfect but it will automatically block the majority of ads you normally would get blocked by a 3'rd party app, and this does not require anything more than 30 seconds of work.

Note that on some sites, like NvN, I still view ads to support the site and Thurot's list leaves the majority of those untouched.

There are other lists available online as well.

Alternatively, you can use http://www.adblockpro.com/

thats because IE is tied into OS. which doesn't bother me.

Agreed, the integration is really sweet. On my work desktop it works like a charm. On my home pc, where Chrome is the default, there will be the occasional brain-fart when I close IE and open Chrome. There is a delay, as if the system is confused which command I just executed

It happens on and off, I just click the Chrome icon again and it works, but the only real issue I have experienced.

That and the Window is not recognizing the default size I have set for it

Would be awesome if we could get this where I work. IE7 crashes regularly, hangs alot, and some sites stop working randomly (error 400).

Then again, we all use thin clients
