Default Realtime Worlds announces 'APB' closure

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/n...b-closure.html

I just read Digitalspy gaming news and found out about APB servers shutdown yesterday on 16 Sept. Not surprised that the game only last over 2 months until they pulled the plug and learned that the developer Realtime Worlds went bust in August last month. So I decided to digged deep to find out why the company went bust and found this.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology...orlds-collapse

The company fell as result of mis-management, shame that the APB game design went bad wrong and things didnt worked out.

The game sucked anyway. No real loss imo.

I was really looking forward to this game going to a free MMO and then the actual game dropping to $25 this Christmas. I would've bought it just to try it but looks like we can't do that now.

I just bought it

I was looking for a crappy shooter that was pay per month with some bad driving and horrible lag.

Same studio that produced Crackdown. And I don't think Crackdown 2 sales did too well either. From what I hear it was essentially the first game with new missions, so the lackluster sales are no real surprise.

haha, APB was made by the same folks that made Crackdown? no wonder that the game was so bad.

Crackdown 2 was developed by another developer. They skipped out on the second game to work on APB.
