Holy jezus eating a burger on a stick in the rain - THIS THING IS FAST!! Makes Lion seem like a bloated Vista piece of crap. And ram usage? On Lion, I'd be using 1.5GB at start up and 5 or so with 1 VM running. In Ubuntu, with the same VM setup, I have 2.8GB used. Awesome. I have 6GB by the way. |

I put Ubuntu on the wife's 5+ year old laptop a few weeks ago. It runs Windows 7 alright, but Firefox would really get bogged down.
The Ubuntu install was VERY fast, but the lack of Netflix support was a deal breaker for her. |

Try using w.i.n.e with windows firefox/ie and silverlight?
actually there's a petition to get Linux and firefox support in Netflix. http://www.petitiononline.com/Linflix/

Any service that limits you to one web browser like Netflix is a complete waste of time and made even worse by the fact it's only available in some countries.
