AN old trick but still a good one with a 20-30% more FPS then DX10.For those who do not know about this or have trouble with slowdowns in DX10
GOTO your CRYSIS install.Rename these DLL files and Backup yours of course. Dll files are in these folders Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin32 Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin64 Dll files to rename CryRenderD3D9 to CryRenderD3D10 CryRenderD3D10 to CryRenderD3D9 Then in your short cut to the Crysis game, add -DX10 -devmode.LIKE this "x:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin32\Crysis.exe" -dx10 -devmode. "x:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin64\Crysis.exe" -dx10 -devmode. SO you end up with DX9 veryhigh settings. With DX10 memory footprint and all the other stuff but with smoother play and more FPS. PIC's of change Sphere level V-sync on no mods installed. You can compare your own DX9 To DX10 for the FPS gain, all systems are different. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
