I had a pair of gigabyte HD5870 that had that cooler and it was great even with the fans turned up to a 100% I could'nt hear the fans on the cards over my case fans.

I just love the Gigabyte SOC series of cards. Quality feeling all the way thru. had a pair of Gigabyte GTX260 SOC before. Then I got a a pair of EVGA GTX470 SOC which were a huge dissapointment from quality aspect. So now I'm back on the Gigabyte track. just ordered two of these babies.

I have the same cards (5879) but they are replaced by 2 GTX480, the cooling is good if you look at it from a point of view that it cools the GPU better than reference cooler and doesn't generate noise......but it also helps in building up heat inside your case and doesn't work will when being sandwiched with another card.

I had to drop my lower 5870 to the lowest PCIe because the upper card was breathing the hot air out of the lower card.

I did'nt have no problems with the cards being cooled but I have a Coolermaster HAF-X so there is not no build up of heat with this case. They ran a lot cooler being sandwich together then my GTX 470's being so closed together with the refrence coolers.
