Haven't updated this in a while.

Official Release date is 11/18/11 and the Adventure Update is coming out in the next month or two.

Anyone still playing? Me and some buddies from work are getting back into it.

Updated my server from 1.5 to 1.73 the other day. Haven't played on it since 1.5 came out. Kind of waiting for 1.8 to come out as well since it is supposed to improve the lighting. It's hard to play when the game is pitch black unless you are standing outside in direct sunlight.

I'm going to try and get my old old workstation back up and running so I can have a MC server running 24/7.

My old workstation is officially dead so I'm going to make a Linux VM in VBox to run as my MC server. I'll get it setup tonight and hopefully do some testing on it tomorrow while at work.

Takes a bit of time to load the first round of chunk data, but seems to run fine after that. Made a small shelter on top of the hill but likely got attacked by flying spiders that fell from the tree next to it.

Thanks for testing this out. So did the server allow you to build? I thought by default it wouldn't let you destroy or build anything. I'll have to test that out.

Anyone else is welcome to test the server, I'll leave it active tonight.

Got to work early and tested the MC server, works pretty well! Now the real test will be to have multiple people logged in at the same time. Maybe that can be done during lunch.

Yea I was able to destroy things and build.
