https://www.geeks.com/woot/

Nice deal. No warranty, but hey, for a backup or second PSU, this'd be NICE.

I had a BFG PSU go kaboom, and from the reviews of the one I had, a lot of other people's died too (it was supposed to be one of the more expensive higher quality models too). Do not buy unless you really need a budget extreme high end psu.

[H] gave it a good review, as did other sites.

It'd be nice to know if the deal's still on at all. I didn't see that fine print.

Wow. Awesome deal. I would stick with a quality builder though. The corsair professional series.

Review:

And from JohnnyGuru:

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php...tory5&reid=151

Quote:
Hampered by an unfortunate case of high ripple on the 3.3V, 5V, and 12V3 rails; the BFG EX1000 came to me promising me the moon but only getting about three quarters of the way there. There's a lot of promise here, what with the frequency conversion feature enabling high efficiency at load levels most high watt power supplies struggle with not to mention the fantastic overshoot transient suppression; but dagnabbit that high ripple just brings everything down. Once BFG and Andyson can address this issue they'll have a winner on their hands, but as it stands now I can't apply that fancy "recommended" logo this time. Sorry, BFG.
BFG has since fixed the high ripple in all units per a statement by a BFG rep and confirmation by JohnnyGuru. So this PSU would have gotten much higher marks at the time by both [H] and JohnnyGuru.

In other words, it's a great high-end PSU, with trustable tech. At $49.99 it's a win. BTW the code still works.
