Default Mumble + X-Fi = echo

Has anyone used the communication program Mumble, and if so, how did you get rid of the echo? I searched google....The problem is that i can hear my terrifying voice through the headphones when i chat.

EDIT: doesn't matter anymore.

Kind of a strange coincidence, my brother was having the exact same problem this weekend. It turns out there is a bug with the Creative drivers on systems with 4GB + of memory running Vista or Win 7 64 bit. The read me says that having such a configuration results in echo's and distorted sounds when using the mic input. He says he wish he would have seen that earlier in the ReadMe before he wasted the better part of his Friday troubleshooting things.

Just stick to riding your trike, bob. Get good at that then attempt other things.
