I looked at doing that, but every place I look they are only £10 cheaper or sold out.

congrats on the system. the 950 is more popular right now because you get a 200mhz increase for less than $20 over the 930. As a result, you will probably see the 930 phased out soon.

The 930 clocks really well. I don't think they will stop making them anytime soon

The 950 makes more sense at this point because of the price. Though I wonder if their goal is to clear all of their 950 stock out to phase it out. Like others have said the 5870 is a good card but the 6000 series is approaching and should have better tessellation performance, which is the only area where the 5000 series are really lacking (besides better driver support for improved crossfire performance). I doubt the 6000 series will be that much better than the 480 other than keeping power consumption low.

Suppose it would pay for the energy drinks im going to need catching up on 4-5 years of PC gaming.

Looking like i'll go for the GTX 480 and shove an 850w PSU in there.

Is it just me, or is overclocking the i7s more complicated than it were a few years back? Been looking over a guide and wtf, whatever happened to just bumping the voltage slightly and pissing with multipliers.

You have to get an unlocked processor for that. It's all about manipulating base clocks now.

i think all i7 are unlocked. its the new ones that are coming out next year will be locked and i think 1 or 2 will be unlocked. what i been reading on sandy bridge is its going to have a faster gpu built in the chip but other then that i dont see why anyone would upgrade to one if there running an i7 right now.. maybe later down the road they will have more L3 then 12

I don't plan to upgrade till my 920 becomes a bottleneck.
