So um...how did you guys disable bloom? It's still on even when I change "true" to "false". It automatically resets itself when you access the demo. For awhile I thought it was off until the round ended and changed to the snow map. In the snow map your rifle just glows like a light saber.

If you haven't changed the FOV yet please do before making a comment on the gameplay. This makes a huge difference. It is set to FOV=55 by default.

If you have a good sound card the "Home Cinema" setting has very good sound. The weapon sounds are very good.

The recoil is terrible and there is no bullet drop on the sniper rifles. Laser guns is what they were going for.

The mountain map is nice in size but does create a sniper fest. This makes team play and organization more important.

This game is not the end all of games but it is entertaining.

We will see if COD can do better. Red Orchestra 2 is also in the works.

Set it to "low". Here are my settings:

Code:
[WindowSettings]
Width=1920
Height=1200
Fullscreen=true
RefreshRate=60
VSync=false
[Sound]
Quality=low
VoipEnable=true
[Graphics]
Effects=high
Soldiers=high
Vehicles=high
Overgrowth=high
Undergrowth=high
StaticObjects=high
Terrain=high
Shadows=high
Bloom=low
HSAO=false
MSAA=3
Water=high
MainQuality=custom
Texture=high
DxVersion=auto
Aniso=4
Detail=high
RenderAheadLimit=2
Fov=55
I need to change my FOV. I should probably turn up the sound quality too. It doesn't sound that bad to me tbh. I'm no audiophile anyways.

MoH looks similar, but I enjoyed it and look forward to PB blocking cheaters light years before Steam ever notices a cheat. In fact I just deleted MW2 today... piss of Inifity Ward you lazy ass thiefs. Yes, I'm an idiot for believing that IW would accomodate their customers and see the error of their ways.
Really?? Cause BF BC2 and MOH beta already have huge problems with cheaters. There are warp hacks, aimbots, etc. I dont think I've seen an online game with as many cheaters as BF BC2 and MOH demo and I played for MW2 for weeks. Check the MOH forums, there are youtube videos of all the hacks that people are using in BF BC2 that also work in MOH. Sorry man but I've only seen a few cheaters while playing MW2 but I see them almost nightly on BF BC2 and now MOH.

I've rarely encountered cheaters online in BC2. MoH, however, I've experienced at least five cheaters who just go around mowing people down to make their presence known. They couldn't be more obvious.

Ok after playing it a little bit more im starting to find the game too easy to play. In most of my matches i am always the top player, the weapons are MW2-ishly easy to use, its more immersive than MW2 but doesnt really capture your attention like BC2 did. The maps are too small, and linear, graphics are so-so, and it feels dry for some reasons i cant seem to explain. :/

DICE is trying to make some money on the CoD series. -1 for originality. Its nothing more than CoD MW2 in a different engine. I'm on the fence, I really wanted it, but after this demo I don't find it worth $60. I think this demo lost the day one sale for me.

there sure is a big difference in performace between the two maps. on the snow map i get 60-100+ and the other one i get 45-60, bit choppy ...

Q6600 @ 3.4
2x 8800GTS 640mb
4g ram
win7 x64, 260.63 beta

with rig in my signature i get no less than 100 fps constant. must be the cpu on the above rig holding it back ... however like i said the snow map runs smoooooth.

Fixe

It's most likely the graphics cards.

Try renaming the .exe to the same as the BF BC2. exe and run it. This will take advantage of the application detection and apply the same performance tweaks ( and the stutter fix (the multi core optimization that causes BF BC2 to chop) ) that Nvidia has in place for BF BC2 until they release new drivers with it in place.
