I wanted to start a thread to get people's recommends on older PC games that are still worthy to play.
I've decided to take a break from my PS3/Wii/new PC games for a while and recently began playing Wizard's Crown (an RPG from SSI I played back in 1986). The graphics are of course not the best (good for 1986), but man has it been uber-fun building up my characters, the battles are fun and the AI is pretty good. Amazing that I am having as much fun as I did over 2 decades ago (when I have those 'Oh yeah, I remember that' moments). So anyhow...Wizard's Crown is my recommendation. ![]()
I plan to re-play the original Pool of Radiance next (and the rest of the series as time permits). So, feed the kitteh...what is your recommendation? (please provide links if possible) Cheers and thanks! |

Conqueror AD 1086 was such an awesome game from 1995. It mixed fps castle raiding with army building and castle construction. You could either raise an army big enough to defeat all of England by raiding castles fps style or you could gain all the equipment necessary to slay the dragon by competing in tournaments and swaying the ladies. I wish there were a modern version available. Heres a trailer:

The Magic Candle and Phantasie (I, II, III?) are also on my hit list, when time permits.

I've been playing the old perfect dark for n64 on live arcade. Really fun. I loved the old one and this one is in HD with updated graphics but everything else is unchanged.
