Default Question about flight sims?

My dad would like to play flight sims on his tv but I don't want to spend money on a PC if I could get a playstation 3 or xbox 360 with a joystick. Any help would be appreciated. He loved the WWII flight sims. He is pretty sick and I would like to see him have some fun.

Thanks in advance.

There aren't any true flight sims that I know of. I like the Ace Combat series myself. Hawx can be fun from time to time and can also be found cheap.

Some possibilities. http://reviews.cnet.com/xbox-360-fli...mulator-games/

Actually IL2 Sturmovik might be a good on for him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQKyO...eature=related

But I'd say IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey is the best choice. It's similar to the real deal on the PC but controllable with those POS console gamepads.

As for the joystick, there are some 360 compatible joysticks available IIRC. But I wouldn't expect too much of them since the game has to support it properly because you can't configure it outside of the game.
Thanks dude, I may just build him a PC instead.

That might just be your best bet. As for games hopefully the learning curve won't be too steep. It might be a tad easier on the consoles to get into the action.

World War One and only on PC sorry but- very beautiful and realistic

In my defence as a PC player I got an XBox to play Fable2 and Red Dead Redemption so I'll leave you to think about that. Multi-tasking
