this could be a minor spoiler

Been going slow in this game, I got to the new vegas strip and inside the Mr. House casino. Is this is the part where story can go different ways? it seems like i need to pick allies.

That's as far as I've gotten as well, still thinking about it.

You can do a couple or so quests for each side for deciding which way to go. The game will *usually* warn you that you're about to upset one of the major factions, but sometimes it doesn't. Just make sure to save before turning in a quest for Mr. House, Yes Man, the NCR Ambassador or Caesar, so if you unintentionally block off a quest path you can go back and fix it without losing a ton of progress.

Yeah. The game will give you quests to let you know you are going past a point of no return. You can't complete these quests and when you fail them you know you've past that point.

It's handy so you can milk as much XP as possible from all factions before deciding. Obsidian really stepped up the choices in this game, and making those choices really hard. No one said is really good, nor really evil.

OMG I finally got around to looking at this thread and that DLL is amazing. The game is so much better now, and the difference is like night and day. All I can say, is how did this get through QA?

I download from Steam and I get the "Game is currently unavailable" error. I tried all suggestions on the wiki and the game still won't load. It's really pissing me off. Everything I tried is on the previous page in this thread.

Needless to say I was pretty pissed. Then I tried again this morning and GOT THE SAME DAMN THING. What do I do? Contact Steam?

WTF

EDIT: Someone suggested this: http://supportwiki.steampowered.com/...ly_unavailable

I will try it later and report back.

Nothing worked.

I submitted a ticket. That will take probably over a week to get a reply.

That sucks ViN. Are other games downloading ok? Have you tried DNS, modem resets? Are you using OpenDNS or anything?

I'm now using the console to save, quick save makes my game crash faster than mythy in a 2nd hand Eclipse.

I had this issue with another game a while back. Launching off the desktop shortcut or off the taskbar menu gave me the error - navigating to the .exe itself and launching from there fixed it..you tried that yet?
