Snipers Nest.

It is a sick gun, one shot to the head.

Not sure how much customization you can do. I know you can get a silenced sniper rifle as well.

You can get a mod that lets you put a silencer on it like the normal sniper. Basically you can customise most of the unique weapons (most of which cannot be modified normally). Silenced All American is devastating. Especially against Feral Ghouls.

I need to find a silencer for the gobi. I have one for a sniper rifle, but it doesn't work on the gobi .

I called Bethesda today and they were as perplexed by the whole thing as I am. They ended up taking down my email and elevating the support ticket. Looks like I will have to wait for a response from a higher up.

I tried uninstalling all my Steam games and everything too. Boo.

So I picked up a chainsaw from one of the vaults and it was heavy, so I gave it to Boone. He's having a blast with it.

I'm still laughing my ass off about something I discovered last night: you can literally pimp out a robot.

Snagged the anti-material rifle and incendiary ammo from the gun runners last night. This weapon is a riot to use. 100+ damage per shot and enemies explode into flames when shot! LOVE IT!!

100 gun skill required to equip it though so beef up. also the rounds are 6 caps EACH. All american is my go to non sniper gun as the 5.56 rounds are plentiful and the riot shotgun is pretty stinking impressive in caves/vaults/buildings/etc.

Still haven't come across a silencer for the GOBI but besides that, it appears to have teh carbon fiber upgrades that are usually available for the regular sniper rifle.

Anyways, I gave Boone the GOBI and he won't use it.. any idea how to get him to stop using his rifle and use the GOBI instead?

Make sure you give him ammo. If you give a companion a gun, you also have to give them the ammo for it, otherwise they'll stick to their default infinite ammo weapon. And they'll switch back to their default when the ammo for the gun you gave them runs dry. And I don't know about Boone, but Cass and Veronica will burn insane amounts of ammo if you give them automatic weapons.

Also, the weapon has to do more damage than their current one, and IIRC their default guns are souped-up versions of the regular guns. If the Gobi is fully repaired, then it shouldn't be a problem.

Spoilers..............

Some of the conversations with Yes Man had me LOL.

However, I wanted to talk to him before I started burning all of my bridges and I still have the quests for him (Wild Card : ....) and he's not there. Where the hell is he?

Just when I think this game is coming to a climax, another 10 hours gets tacked on, this game is crazy. It's like pandora's box.

He should be out front of the Tops, if not it could be a game bug OR he may appear after you do a few more quests. There are a lot of game breaking bugs if you try to do as many factions quests in the later part of the game. Console codes can fix it. Check the Fallout wiki for each quest. It's quite in depth.
