Didn't know it was a totally different story. I figured it was just acontinuation of the original story line that you could just jump right into with your existing guy

The iron sights are a god send and I like the little tweaks that have been made. Level up doesn't require you to sleep.
You don't need to go that far before you hit some quiet hard enemies and Deathclaws seem to be earlier in the game(very small chance of killing them on a low level). Enjoying the game so far though as I did with FO3. |

I haven't experienced any in-game bugs or crashes to desktop yet, but I have experienced two BSODs upon exiting the game. Both were system service exceptions that showed up as vista_driver_faults with nvlddmkm in WinDbg, so I'm gonna back off from my overclocks for now and see if it happens again.

I think that it would be cool to have a little feature like this in an upcoming DLC, provided you have both game installed on your machine. Idk exactly how it would work but....

I picked this up and have put a few good hours into it. I'm getting some studders but not too bad. My friends has been locking up a lot. Honestly I would rather be playing Minecraft, nothing has been able to pull me away from that game...it should be called Minecrack.

This game really needs to be fixed. Game makers jumped the gun and released it basically in an unfinished state. Fallout 3 was never the smoothest playing game around but this one is just plain bad.
I started playing it with the 195.62s. Big time performance issues. Hitches, pauses, jerky mouse movement, dropped fps all over the place, frequent game crashes. I switched to the 186.18s and performance was somewhat better but a lot of that was probably because the advanced settings are turned way down. It also still had game crashes. Tried that DX9 dll. Made the performance a bit better but induced even more crashes. Something really bad is going on when tabbing into the pitboy. Mouse movement inside the pitboy is very sluggish to the point of having a hard time getting the mouse on one thing, it wants to jump around. Movement inside the pitboy seems to be in slow motion. This game in its current state is pretty much unplayable for me (to be enjoyable anyway). They need to get on this and fix this damn thing to get it out of Beta! Not cool Bethesda.

Wow. This game is just massive. More so than fallout 3. That is all i can say. At one point the game us blows wide open with tons of quests at once.

I have just finished the tutorial and following some barmaid around killing things....
Someone please tell me that the game gets better very soon? I know this is still part of the tutorial but so far everything seems so sterile. Oh and the game runs like ****e, is uninspiring, no humanity to the characters (yet) oh and looks like a dog has ate a kids colour palete and threw up on some rocks ![]() Maybe thats a little critical...

Give it a chance. Yeah it really is. Not quiet up to morrowind depth but better than fallout 3 without the dlc.

So far I'm very impressed. game doesn't give me the feeling of the vast wide open hugeness that FO3 originally did. I know that it's there but everything so far feels like it's all contained in this small valley with the prison and the powderkeggers and what not.
Finding decent weapons is much more difficult in this one. I was rocking the 9mm pistol and the "Varmint killer" for easily several hours before I stumbled upon "lucky" the 357 magnum at the Bison Steve's in a safe on the floor panel behind a counter. Hard lock.. though. Does massive damage! Game runs great though. Everything is maxed out at 1900X1200 and it stays glued to 60 fps. EDIT: And not ONE crash to desktop (knock on wood) ![]() ![]()
