I also own an asus eeePC 1015pn laptop.
It works great under mageia 1 and latest nividia drivers in the repos, but i can't control fan speed.
I tried coolbit "5" Option in xorg.conf but there is no manual fan speed control.

What kind of customized fancontrol script do you use?

Try bumblebee: https://github.com/MrMEEE/bumblebee

It allows you to selectively run 3d applications using the nvidia card (ie dynamically switching video cards), and turns the nvidia card off while not in use.
