Question Which card for under 200?

At the moment I have a GeForce Fx 5200 128MB (128bit) and it srtuggles with todays games such as Devastation and Chaser usally hanging around 40fps but often dipping too around 17-20fps but with 2xAA and 4xAF it usally hangs around 20fps and dipping to 1-2fps. Anyway i'm on a very stict buget of 200 i absolutley can not afford to go over. I saw this on OCUK Sapphire ATI Radeon 9700 128MB DDR DVI/TV - Retail (GX-008-SP) what do you guys think of it? Is there a faster card than then 9700np? How does the 9700np perform, how much performance increase would I get (rough %)? and how would it perform in tomorrows games?

9700 np would smash your 5200. Night and day.

9600 Pro might be a good choice as well if it could be found for significantly less than the 9700. Overclocked, you might be able to hit 9700 Pro scores.

From a 5200 to 9700 non pro, you should get quite a boost, remember the 5200 is hybrid 2X2 or 4X1 or something architecture, where as, the 9700 non pro is lower clocked r300 core with 8 pixel pipeline architecture. Also VS is dramtically improved as well. U should be able to game at 1024 by 768 with AA and AF turned on for most games...except, Splinter Cell and if can get hold of it Doom3 alpha.

Few review links here
Most are links to 9700pro review but some might have 9700. I think Tom's did one with 9700 and 9500 pro a year back? Maybe anandtech too? Try the links
