Default Quicktime Streaming Capture & Playback

A church I attend sometimes started streaming their services recently so I used a program called HiDownload to capture the stream. The stream is Quicktime format but the file it saved won't play using the Quicktime player. I assume this is because it's a stream file and not a mov file so I'm trying to find a way to play it. It's a 404 MB file but the filename isn't something I know, and seems to be a placeholder kind of a deal.

Filename: heritage.sdp.@@@

The last four entries in the log file is...

2010-10-29 19:01:52:636 Start receiving data...
2010-10-29 21:42:28:839 Download canceled
2010-10-29 21:42:28:870 Start to build quicktime file
2010-10-29 21:42:34:73 Succeed in building quicktime file

So it looks like it downloaded the stream okay and saved it. Does anyone know how I can play this file?

The full version of QuickTime will allow you save the .mov files, so use that.

If you're not sure of what the codec was used to encode the file, use MediaInfo or some other tooll to find oout

So far nothing I've tried will recognize the file. If I drop it into an open QuickTime player it says it's not a file that QuckTime understands. If I drop it into an open MediaInfo window it just shows the container size without any info. So it seems to be the raw streaming bits recorded but no format information that a player understands. It seems funny to me that HiDownload will download it but not give any information about how the file might be played. I've done a lot of google searching but haven't found much besides a QuickTime stream is very hard to capture and play.

Nope. I've got VLC 1.1.4 and when I drop it in an open VLC window it does nothing.
