COD4 maps were too small for the player load. This is why UO was very well liked by many of us COD players.

What happened to developers learning from other developers. BF2 did it right with map sizes changing dependent upon the number of players.

These small maps that are common in today's games are not for PC players, the only reason they exist is for the console.

Lumping MW1 and 2 together like that illustrates that you really didn't spend any time with either. MW2 was certainly garbage but that was because of rampant hacking and lack of dedicated servers. MW1 implemented excellent new ideas and was very fun to play on LAN or online.

Why you'd spend $60 for a 5 hour single player game is beyond me.

LOL, this is exactly what I hated about UO maps. But I played at LAN parties mostly with between 4 and 8 people so those big maps really weren't fun at all for us.

Was UO your first PC game? Name a PC shooter that commonly had much larger maps than exist in CoD. And don't mention Unreal Tournament; that's a completely different style of game. Halo, it's console analogue, has similar sized maps.

Rainbow Six-The original, Rogue Spear, Ghost Recon, COD, COD:UO, COD2, BF1942, BF2. All had larger maps than MW.

Just some old games not many have really heard about.

When you have 32 players do you think a map made for 16 is really any fun? And what about changing map sizes eg. BF2.

Not many have really heard about?! You think those games are old school or obscure? Rainbow Six is the oldest game you listed and that came out in 1998. All of those games were/are very popular and well known.

You're a joke man. The games you listed aren't even the same genre as MW, except CoD1/2, which had the same size maps as MW. Hell several MW maps were remakes of COD1 maps. Can't believe you listed Battlefield games. Every post you've tried to establish yourself as some hardcore old school gamer but you've failed miserably every time. Just give it up.
