Default X Hangs/Crashes

I'm running a set of servers with FC4 32bit and with the 2.6.11-1.1226_FC4.smp kernel. NVIDIA card is a Quadro FX 1300 and were seeing X crashes when developers are tailing or editing large files. Also, the displays will simply lockup and we can no longer log into the server which requires a power-cycle.

Nvidia Driver - NVIDIA_Linux-x86-1.0-7174-pkg1

Any suggestions?

Keep a laptop or something with an ssh client around, for connecting to the machine with the hung GPU and killing the application or X11, or for doing a clean reboot. It's not a solution, but I've been unable to prevent my current GPU from locking up periodically and it's better than simply killing the power and then watching the disks grind for hours on an array re-sync.
