Because you're too lazy to troubleshoot a problem?

Have you tried a different crossfire bridge? Tried different slots? Maybe the motherboard is bad.

The other card was bust, even on it's own it crashed. Nothing to do with the crossfire bridge. Wasn't even in the machine.

The other card has been spot on, zero problems with it running on it's own.

My supplier are putting the card I know is bust, back into stock! wtf An hour of benchies is enough to tell them it's ok apparently.

If I end up with another dud, no way i'm spending anymore time with it. Amazed they even resell cards that have been RMA.

At least they are giving you a new card. Gigabyte tossed my card in a machine and ran 1 vantage bench on it and said it was fine and shipped it back. $350 paper weight.

I've had to buy a new card, then they will restock the other and probably charge me a fee. Putting in a claim to the small claim's court out of principle, give them a bit of bad press.

Shopped with scan.co.uk for over ten years now and they get pissy about restock fees for blatantly faulty items.

Just waiting for the courier to show up today, no idea why I got out of bed at 3am. Bloody insomnia.

Right, new card is in.

Went through 3DVantage and got 27,349 GPU score. Noticed some weird issues with the refresh rate and slight hitching on one of the feature tests.

Using hotfix 10.10e though.

Refresh issue is annoying, really annoying. Barely noticeable but its getting to me.

Best description I have found.

"Think of a 60Hz t.v recieving a 50Hz signal, Imeage pulses, Screen goes bright, darker bright darker.

No texture problems and no screen tearing."

Are you using hdmi? I've heard of refresh problems with hdmi. Acutally one of the only problems I had with the 4770 was that it wanted to do 50Hz through hdmi. Don't remember what I did to fix it.

It's showing as 60hz, hard to tell tbh. Hmmm

Changed to DVI.

Still appears to be a shimmery like wobble to everything on the desktop. Not tested games for those annoying wavey lines yet tho.

Why can't anything just go smoothly.

To give an example, on the game menu of Stalker: Call of Pripyat , can clearly see the nasty wavy dark lines going down the screen.

Starting to think it's my display that's the culprit on this one but then the reviews and spec for it are pretty solid.
