GTA IV and expansions will take up a good chunk of your HDD space.

They are totally worth playing though, enjoy!!!

The expansions are more fun than the original campaign

I can buy the GTA and 2 expansions for just under 25 on Steam at the moment, so really tempted... but don't want a nightmare where I just can't get it running.
I have the IE9 beta installed and the game does NOT work with it installed. Don't ask me why, it just doesn't. Other people report having this problem as well. You'll have to roll back to IE8.

Just tried the game... won't run.

Will uninstall IE9.

This is exactly what I didn't want

OK, uninstalled IE9 and everything's running fine

Really enjoying the game so far - just taken Michele bowling and dropped her home

No other problems, and game runs really smoothly. Benchmarked at 65fps with everything on high (I think).

Pity you can't get AA. If you have a decent monitor or TV that will scale you can force the game to run at a higher res and let the display scale it down. Works ok for AA, but frame rate hit can be ::

I hate expansions. Vanilla GTAIV is great imo. Totaly love physics, graphics etc. Story and characters are incredible. Only had a experience with 360 version(first game i Bught on release day) and it was great. Heard PC version is far superior with hight end pc
