Droid X dialer?

my girl recently got a Droid X and one thing I noticed that in the dialer when you press numbers, it doesn't seach contacts by number or by name.

Is there a way to fix that?

On my Atrix and on pretty much every other android, and windows mobile i seen before when you press the numbers on the dialer it searches by the number and by the letters assigned to those numbers.
