At least they have acknowledged that there is a problem so hopefully a fix is fast coming.

I am using an nvidia card and I get terrible lag. It has nothing to do with peoples systems, it is the game. Treyarch failed miserably here.

Treyarch's become known for making poor games like COD WAW, no surprises
2010 is the year of hyped but crappy games |

Some folks have fixed it by installing the DX included on the disc version. Apparently the Steam and D2D (which I have) didn't update DX so I'll have to manually do this.
Another thing people found helps was to alt tab out of the game and set STEAM.exe to low priority. I'd start with running the DX update on the DVD though and see if this fixes it. This is NOT and ATI only problem, my GTX 480 has this problem too. I've already tried 260.99 and 262.99 drivers with the same results. |

Wow can't believe some of these reports of lag, fair enough every now and then i get a little spike (like every 5-10 mins) but other than that the game is silky smooth.... I lol at people playing this with Vsync on too
no need for it, there is absolutley no tearing and i get a continuous 125 fps. 4 hours in, lvl 35 and apart from the lag spikes absolutly no issues at all here.Great game and after 1 or 2 patches it will be flawless. Graphics are 'slightly' better than MW2, nothing ground breaking but what did you expect, Crysis ? So far imo Black ops is what MW2 should have been, simple as that. |

i am seriously considering getting this, if it can be a solid BFBC2 replacement, time wise. The bullet registration in Bad Company 2 is plain ludicrous now. Very Frustrating.
