game made more money on the first day than mw2. I'm disappointed since clearly the reviews arn't as high as mw2 was. I guess we all strive for mediocrity eh?

MW2 SP was good, MP was horrendous, with the quick scope, Nukes, overpowered L33T, akimbo weapons and glitching (IMO of course)

I'm enjoying the MP on BO a lot more. Much more balanced maps and perks. Weapons balance is good. Not so many snipers so far. The remote controlled car is hilarious (when he not blowing you up that is)

So far so good
BTW, I have this on PS3, and yes, the servers last night where god damned awful.

You get to shoot and stuff. It's like the you're really there because the screen is pretty much your eyes. COD never disappoints, and once again, they have changed the way we all play games.

This is Call of Duty. This is the evolution of gaming.

So awesome.

The max rate to 25k made it a little better last night, not really fixed though. I'll try it with the patch tonight though.

That's what it should have been to begin with you tards.

I swear, do any devs know what they're doing anymore? These console dev kits have set the industry back decades. Simple things that people have learned over the past 20 years are being ignored.

I'm sorry, but game devs have become as stupid as their target audience, 'tard console gamers. The whole "pop it in and play" mentality has apprently breached their brains too..."poop it out and pay day"...

However, the maxrate was fixed last night across all servers and it was still pretty choppy / laggy / etc. The new patch today has fixed it for some people. Others claim it did nothing, however some people might have their .cfg's so jacked up they might just need to delete them and start fresh with the patch.

Yea I just played. The patch didn't help that much. I'll have to try resetting my config.

EDIT: Resetting my config helped a bit. I think it depends a lot on the server. The server I just connected to was MUCH better. I still got the lag, but it only happened about once every 20 seconds. So it's better, but still not up to par imo.

The game crashes as soon as I start playing in SP (I can play for 5 seconds at most):

DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error. Check the readme for possible solutions.

Windows XP SP3 32bit 3GB RAM
8800GT 260.99 drivers
