They are organizing it on the steam forums already.

I finished SP last night, amazing game. Just had to keep shadows off.

Maybe I'll format one of my old drives and throw XP on there and see how it plays. Maybe that will fix my New Vegas problems too.
I installed XP after I read that thread on the Steam forums and it does run incredibly smooth now.

1920x1200

aniso halfway up the settings bar
high textures
shadows on
bullet impacts on
vsync on

Only a a few framerate drops on the large maps but I stay locked at 60 fps most of the time.

yea i tried xp compatibility....no luck...game wouldnt even start..just gets stuck in a never ending loop of yes or no...

xp seems to fix all problems.

apparently the one pc dev was on thanks giving..didn't have time to update his twitter/etc...

so we might now move into 1 month after release without a fix...

finally an update from the community manager:

Think I'll make it to level 50 and move on to another game. These just don't have the lasting power of bf games for me. Christmas sales are around the corner and I still have a few sp to knock out

For those who want to play this game without issues...downgrade system to winxp 32bit.

Someone has done some fraps demo run.

Quote:
Benchmark from FRAPS using the same demo file:

Windows 7
Frames: 3293
Time (ms): 60000
Min FPS: 36
Max FPS: 76
Avg FPS: 54.883

Windows XP
Frames: 4956
Time (ms): 60000
Min FPS: 59
Max FPS: 104
Avg FPS: 82.600

Atleast when IW released MW2, it ran at max possible speed based on ure system specs/settings...

It's about this point in time I would commiserate with you. I appear to be one of the lucky ones who have no problems with it running on windows 7, 1920x1080 Max ingame IQ, 2x Transparency Supersampling forced via control panel. Max fps is usually 120ish, min is never lower than 55 and I tend to average 65-75.
