My old team (peritus) played blops competitively for a bit. Barebones 5v5 SnD in clanbase and EDOM (european leagues). There is a lot of unbalance in blops for competitive play and although barebones takes out all the crap like killstreaks and perks there are still issues with weapon balance, bomb placement, map layout, sound, non static objects, specular etc

A version of Promod is very much needed for Blops but i fear it is too late in the game for i for one will not be playing this competitively again. If Treyarch released mod tools on Friday it would still take upto 3 months for a stable promod to be coded and then another 3 months for bug testing, glitches and tweaks. That gives us a competitive BLOPS by September/October....dunno about you guys but im planning on playing BF3 around that time lol.

BLOPS is dead competitively and is dying out slowly on pubs...BF3 will probably put the final nails into BLOPS coffin and IW's MW3 will probably finish off what MW2 did...Kill the CoD series.....

Probably not. They charged for MW2 DLC and that was released on consoles first.

that would be a very foolish move on activisions part! soo mnay people are fed up with the cod/activision bs, that would put the final nail in the franchises coffin i think ...

if they where smart, thye would appologise to there customers and beg for forgiveness, and as a peace offering "here's some free DLC" as a token of respect... ya right ...

Still no news on the 'Big' patch and no news on the mod tools or DLC....

Seems a little weired they are keeping us in the dark for so long and patch 1.07 has been in QA for over 2 weeks now....

I for one won't be purchasing the DLC due to the time it has been out on the console platform...X360 specificaly
