Well I already pre-ordered on Steam so I can't do anything about the money I spent, but I can hope that once I get home from work somehow the game will miraculously be functioning and lag-free. Probably not a good idea to get my hopes up though.

Just had a game, everything was butter smooth. No issues at all. No lag, no hitching. My first PC game online for five years.

1920x1080, AF on full, 4x AA, everything else set highest it can go. No hitching, no issues.

Don't worry, it should be ok with your rig.

Not sure if it makes any difference but i've changed my power options to Performance so Turbo is pretty much always on. Will have to try and play without it, see if speedstep could be interfering somewhere.

never buy off steam. no refunds or the option to sell on.

at least amazon take games back if they are crap

can you even refund a steamworks game? Kind of locked into your acount.

I've been set to Turbo constantly since I built the thing, but I can't remember if I left speedstep on or not. Thanks for the reassurance though. I spoke to a friend of mine who got the retail release last night and he said he had no problems as well.

Just played for 5 minutes. That was about all I could stand. It lags hard every 2 seconds. Looks like we will have to wait for a patch.

360 got a patch already lol.
