Default GTX 460 owners unite!

I see a lot of 480s and 580s in sigs here but not that many 460s. Where's the love? My reference evga 460 768 is hands down the best card i've ever owned. Got it safely over clocked 165mhz over stock (its at 840 now), never goes above 67c (usually not even into the 60s, fan at 60) metro 2033 very high dx11 vsync pegged at 30fps. (1680x1050) Warhead pegged at 30 all setting max. Dirt 2 pegged at 60 at settings max. Even Stalker Clear Sky and Call of Pyripat bow to this card. Played Batman Arkham with phsyx on, Mafia Demo with phsyx on. Still 50-60fps vysnc.

All this running off a three year old 500w psu and about the same size as my old 8800GTS. This is card is simply all win.

I had the FTW EE and it was heaven on earth, but I sold the machine. Well... not exactly sold, as the machine was never mine in the first place, just... I could have it for some time to enjoy, so for when I can build another PC for me, it will be a 560, but yeah... the x60 series just ROCKS!

It'll be interesting to see what the 560 brings. Or whether or not there will even bee a 560. If there is, I could see the 460 dropping down to 150. That would really be something.

Yes, there will be a 560, have a look at this (taken from NVNews' main page):

So... if the information is accurate, 384 cores (the full 8 cluster count) at 725MHz although they went 25W away from the 460's TDP, but as it's the full cluster count... well... it's not that bad, could have been worse :P

So for me, it will be great, not that much of a change from the 460 FTW EE, but from my previous GTX 260 with 216 cores... for sure!

Interesting.... Really not entirely seeing the point of the 560. Looks like a gtx 465 done right. The $269 price tag would have to come down for it to really compete.

My personal guess is like... making full use of the chip, GTX 580 for the GF110 (its intended 512 cores) and GTX 560 for the GF104 (its intended 384 cores).

Other than that, I don't know... I just hope they release it within Q1, although it's not specified in that wikipedia entry

Hy, nothin' wrong with that. My GTX 465 kicked ass; it had the characteristic Fermi Brute Force feel to it while gaming... Though to be fair, the GTX 560 won't be related to the 465; it'll be more closely affiliated with the 460.

... Although a GTX 565 would be nice for that $269 price point... offering GTX 470 performance and sometimes better with lower power consumption etc...

And I had a heck of a lot of fun with the 460 768. There' a few situations where I liked the HD 5830 a little better but overall it's an awesome card for 1920x1080 gaming with up to 2x AA.

Love my 460. Since my system is getting up there in age it didn't make sense to go for anything flashier - this will definitely hold me over until I get around to a total overhaul next year.
