Default what happened to OS ABI tag in libGL.so?

Old versions of NVidia's libGL.so provided an OS ABI tag to distinguish between TLS and non-TLS support. In the recent libraries its gone.

The problem with this is:

Mesa does define an OS ABI tag for its own libGL.so. The result is that the Mesa library gets a higher priority than NVidia's lib, bypassing the usual priorities defined by ldconfig.

I am surely not the specialist for elf headers, but maybe someone in this forum can comment on this?
