Hi
Is Automatic Software Fan Control based on the GPU Temperature possible on Linux ? I mean an option similar to tools like MSI Afterburner or Riva Tuner on Windows. Can you implement this feature in future releases of the Linux Driver or is there any way to write a script that sets the fan speed with nvidia-settings ? It would be a nice addition especially for the hot running 400 and 500 series cards, i'm sure many users will appreciate it. |

This is hilarious, if you actually search with google for "Nvidia Linux Automatic Software Fan Control" the first result is exactly this thread but i knew google before, thanks though. The question was meant to the linux team and if they have plans to implement this feature together with the planned overclocking options in nvidia-settings.
